  1. Begin planning in early August.
  2. Avoid these times for scheduling a drill 
    • Check with Library Administration - Megan Lawrence
    • LAMP - Tuesday mornings 10am to 12pm

3. Based on the library building units schedules, fill out a Facilities Work Order request and email Jim Patton (OSU Fire Safety Officer) and Facilities Alarm crew (Christopher Reinhart) to arrange for a time to hold the drill.

4. Inform Library Admin and the OSULP Safety Council of the time agreed upon

5. As part of the Safety Week informational email, announce there will be an unannounced building evacuation drill during the week. Inform Circulation staff to review the building evacuation procedures. 

6. On the day of the drill, have OSULP Safety Council members assigned to each exit to review how the drill went

7. After the drill, the OSULP Safety Council chair will collect information about the drill and share a summary with the library building
