University Librarian vision for space
Update on campus-wide space projects---what are potential impact/opportunities for OSUL?
Existing space related projects:
4th floor remodel
off site storage move
merger of service units on 2nd floor
5th floor merger of units
3rd floor space
Guin Library space
JAVA renovation
Other space issues:
Quiet vs. collaborative space
Group study rooms and accessibility
Sharing space with non-library units either permanently or temporarily
Access to technology and electricity
Maintenance

User Population
Collection Space
Public Workstation Space
User Seating Space
Staff Work Area Space
Classroom & Meeting Room Space

Who or what needs to be onsite vs. what could be offsite?
We can create a space on the wiki to put the documentation we have in place related to existing projects and other reports or data. The eventual outcome is a space planning document that consider 3-4 scenarios for OSU Libraries.
