Room Management

Overview

Room management is split between multiple departments. These pages outline the division of duties, primary points of contact, instructions for Library Admin duties, and general location of documentation.

  • Study Rooms - management shared between LEAD and Library Admin
  • Grad Commons Rooms - management shared between Grad Student Commons, LEAD, and Library Admin
  • Classrooms - management shared by Library Admin, R&L, and LEAD.

Library Admin Responsibilities

Room Maintenance

  • Oversee the maintenance of Group Study Rooms, Grad Student Commons Rooms, and classrooms. This includes assessing maintenance needs, completing work orders, communicating with Facilities, and following-up to make sure repairs are completed.
  • Audit furniture regularly to make sure it is appropriate to the space and undamaged.
  • Review signage regularly and replace or update as needed.

Managing LibCal

  • Troubleshoot any LibCal issues, including communication with Springshare and LEAD
  • Pull room usage data as needed.

Documentation

  • Maintain documentation related to these spaces and their policies.
