Individual Training (Anytime)

Dixon Recreation Center offers First Aid / CPR Training throughout the year, either in-person or online with a demonstration class. If you would like to take advantage of these classes through your department, the Safety Committee would like you to follow the process below so that we may maintain a current list of First Aid / CPR-AED certified staff. Once certified, your name will be added to a list on our library intranet page, given to department heads and added to first aid kits throughout the building. This will allow other library building staff to know who is currently certified.

Those who are certified on their own may volunteer their name for the library's certification list by contacting the Valley Safety chair.

Procedure for Individual Training:

  1. Obtain permission from your supervisor.
  2. Go to the Dixon Recreation web site and search for a time you can attend one of their training sessions or sign up for online courses.
  3. Contact Dixon directly at (541) 737-3736 to register for one of their classes.
  4. Attend the class and once completed, send a photocopy of your certification card to inform the Valley Safety Committee chair who will then add your name to the library's list of certified staff and faculty.
