The classrooms of Valley Library are used exclusively for University business and are intended to support academic success, intellectual freedom and free speech. For more details regarding building space use, please refer to the Valley Library Building Use policy. Classrooms vary by size, technology, who is allowed to reserve a specific classroom and even the procedure for reserving a classroom. They are generally available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There are 6 classrooms in Valley Library; this page will outline areas of access, functionality and management responsibilities for each room.
There are 4 hotelling offices in the library, of which three are specifically for use by Ecampus, with one specifically for library employee use.

Classrooms Managed or Circulated by LEAD
- 2nd Floor:
- Autzen (Management shared by LEAD & TED)
- 2nd Floor West Classroom (Management shared by LEAD & TED)
- 3rd Floor: Willamette East and West (Management shared by LEAD & TED)
- 6th Floor: 6420, 6812, & 6822 (See Grad Commons for more information)
Classrooms Not Managed or Circulated by LEAD
- 1420 (Managed by SMS)

Policies
Who can use the rooms
Library Faculty/Staff
- Library Faculty/Staff may reserve Autzen, 2nd Floor West Classroom, and Willamette East and West.
- Library Faculty/Staff may make multiple reservations each term
GTAs and Faculty/Staff from departments outside of the library
- May reserve Willamette East and West.
- May reserve Autzen beginning the 7th week of a term
- May make one reservation per term
OSU Students (including graduate students) and OSU affiliated student groups
- May reserve Willamette East and West.
- May make one reservation per term
There are exceptions
- The goal is to have classrooms in use as much as possible while making Library business a priority.
- Some departments have different privileges, typically departments in partnership with Valley Library
- Exceptions are also made for last-minute reservation requests if the room is still available or during low-usage times.
- These exceptions are made by the Classroom Coordinators and back-ups only and only through the online reservation request system.
