This list of directions is for special events that the Library is responsible for setting up.  Not all events occurring in the rotunda are the responsibility of the library for setup.

  Generally, events that are the responsibility of the Library are library events.  Other units can request Library support in setting up for an event, but should specify exactly what sort of support they are looking for, which may or may not be inclusive of items in this list.
  • Several days before the event,

...

  • put out a poster indicating that the rotunda will be used for an event.
  • If necessary, put out table tents on tables in the rotunda letting students know that an even will be occurring.
  • Ask students to leave the area for an event at least an hour before it occurs.
  • Put up the screen divider at the entrance to the rotunda.
  • Set up the sound system and mic in the rotunda.
  • Move furniture around to meet the needs of the event.
