Mole Hole

  • Located on the 3rd floor by maps. Onsite staff are GTAs who rotate frequently. Margie Haak is the partner contact in the Chemistry department.

  • Operates Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Closed summer and intersessions.

  • Hours and supported courses can be found on their website.

  • Department of Chemistry is the managing partner. This is part of their Chemistry tutoring program.

Worm Hole

The Wormhole

  • Located on 3rd floor by maps.

  • Operates Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer terms.

  • Hours and supported courses can be found on their website.

  • Wormhole is a collaboration between School Department of Physics and the Help Center.

  • Fred DeAngelis (fred.deangelis@oregonstate.edu) is the primary staff contact for library employees.

  • Students should use wormhole.physics@oregonstate.edu to contact the Wormhole.

Ecampus

  • Located on the 4th floor but have little direct contact with the public.

  • Employees are currently in the building primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

  • They are practicing a hybrid model for employees for remote work.

  • The reception desk will be is open and staffed during regular business hours.

Graduate Writing Center (GWC)

  • Located on the 6th floor near Benny (6812) and Bernice (6822)

  • The GWC will officially open week 2 and offer a hybrid of remote and onsite consultationconsultation rooms.

  • Offers consultations in-person and online from week 2 through Dead Week Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer term.

  • To learn more about the graduate writing center GWC and their services check their site.

  • Full time staff are located in rooms 6171, 6172 and 6169. Chris Nelson, Dennis Bennett, and Adam Haley.

Reservable Spaces and Services

All spaces listed below are booked by partners or students only. Borrowing and Information Desk does not make bookings for these spaces. Questions about these spaces should be referred to the partner groups using the contact information below.

Student Parent Study Room and Lactation Room

  • The Student Parent Study room is located on the 3rd floor next to RAS and the restrooms. Kristi King is the primary staff contact.

  • Drop in childcare will not be offered.

  • The room will be offered for check out as a study room for parents with children.

  • The lactation room on the first floor is also available

  • This spaces is available to parents studying while their children are with them.

  • Room guidelines, amenities, and booking link are on this website.

  • The Lactation room (1563) is on 1st floor near the restrooms. A unique keypad code can be obtained from the Family Resource Center M-F, 8:30am - 4:30 pm.

  • Other lactation rooms are available across campus. More details here.

  • Family Resource Center is the partner unit for both spaces.

Graduate Student Commons (GSC)

  • GSC is located on the 6th floor. GSC rooms are only for use by grad students or programs serving grad students.

  • Graduate students can find more information about Benny (6812), Bernice (6822), and Paddle Tail (6420) through the GSC website. Additional room guideline are here.

  • Research Rooms will be used starting September 21.

  • There will be a graduate student on 6th in room 6159 to support their services.

    • Joe Page Mondays 12-2p and Tuesdays 1:30-3:30p

  • The Bernie and Bernice rooms will also be available for use.

  • The Paddletail Classroom (6420) will be used by GSC and GWC fall term.

  • These rooms are only for use by grad students or programs serving grad students.

Lyra Health

  • Lyra Health is a service available to OSU employees and their dependents.

  • The Wilson room on the 5th floor is used for in-person therapy appointments scheduled through Lyra Health.

  • The Lyra Health therapist has a key to the Wilson Room. Clients can go directly to the Wilson room for their appointment and do not need to check in at the Borrowing and Information Desk.

  • The university point-of-contact with Lyra is Christina Schaaf (Christina.Schaaf@oregonstate.edu), one of OSU’s Work Life Coordinators.

  • Employees who need assistance with Lyra can contact Christina directly.
