Status: Repairs and Upgrades In Progress, Planning Future Schedule
The offsite storage cantilevered shelving will be replaced using carry over funds in Summer of 2024. The materials arrived in June 2024 and work has started and will continue in July 2024.
Controls Upgrades
-Control panels from 1998 are no longer manufactured and service is challenging.
-As panels are upgraded, parts are harvested to continue servicing and replacing failed controls elsewhere in the building.
-As panels are replaced, new wires are run and carriages are serviced.
Motors/Bearings
-This refers to motors that move the carriages along the rails, and bearings on which they glide.
-Servicing these means the shelving units will operate more smoothly and reliably in terms of mechanics.
