Java II

• Located on 1st floor. Accessed either by stairway from main entrance, or separate entrance below.

Media Hub

• Located on the 2nd floor next to LEAD. Room 2035.

• Hours can be found on their website.

• Part of Academic Technologies.

Undergrad Research & Writing Studio (URWS)

• Located on the 2nd floor, next to the Learning Commons.

• Opens week 2 each term to allow staff training week 1.

• Offer consultations in-person and online.

• Writing Center is the managing partner.

• Full-time staff members are Chris Ervin (chris.ervin@oregonstate.edu), Marjorie Coffey (marjorie.coffey@oregonstate.edu), and Chessie Alberti (chessie.alberti@oregonstate.edu).

Supplemental Instruction

• SI Tables are primarily in Autzen but may also be in the Mole Hole or Writing Studio.

• Operates Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Closed summer and intersessions.

• Table schedules for Valley Library are available on the Autzen classroom calendar.

• Registration information and supported courses can be found on their website.

• SI Tables are a unit within the Academic Success Center.

Mole Hole

• Located on the 3rd floor by maps. Onsite staff are GTAs who rotate frequently. Margie Haak is the partner contact in the Chemistry department.

• Operates Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Closed summer and intersessions.

• Department of Chemistry is the managing partner. This is part of their Chemistry tutoring program.

Worm Hole

• Located on 3rd floor by maps.

• Operates Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer terms.

• Hours and supported courses can be found on their website.

• Wormhole is a collaboration between School of Physics and the Help Center.

• Fred DeAngelis (fred.deangelis@oregonstate.edu) is the primary staff contact.

Ecampus

• Located on the 4th floor but have little direct contact with the public.

• Employees are currently in the building primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

• They are practicing a hybrid model for employees for remote work.

• The reception desk will be open and staffed during business hours.

Graduate Writing Center (GWC)

• The GWC will officially open week 2 and offer a hybrid of remote and onsite consultation.

• To learn more about the graduate writing center and their services check their site.

• Full time staff are located in rooms 6171, 6172 and 6169. Chris Nelson, Dennis Bennett, and Adam Haley.

Reservable Spaces and Services

Family Study Room and Family Services

• Located on the 3rd floor next to RAS and the restrooms. Kristi King is the primary staff contact.

• Drop in childcare will not be offered.

• The room will be offered for check out as a study room for parents with children.

• The lactation room on the first floor is also available.

Graduate Student Commons (GSC)

• Research Rooms will be used starting September 21.

• There will be a graduate student on 6th in room 6159 to support their services.

  • Joe Page Mondays 12-2p and Tuesdays 1:30-3:30p

• The Bernie and Bernice rooms will also be available for use.

• The Paddletail Classroom (6420) will be used by GSC and GWC fall term.

• These rooms are only for use by grad students or programs serving grad students.
