Kiosk project

• Updates
• What is your experience with the current kiosks? (Personal/customer anecdotes etc.)
• Experiences with kiosks in other settings, what did/didn't you like?
• What functionality do you want to see in kiosks? (big opportunity to present library's digital services and promotional items)
• Any ideas or suggestions you might have for kiosks would be helpful!

Need to identify functions we would like to see in a kiosk to bring to ETS

• LibNav Map
• Primo Library Catalog (new interface should have update in February, better performance/better customization)
• Library hours
• Room reservations/classroom schedule (libcal) (possibility to integrate library hours for simplicity?
• Promotional slides
• Campus resource map
• Ability to page staff
  • Reference chat window/buttons that use reference chat to notify staff
  • VOIP interface?
    • Not effective for situations when patrons need conflict resolution/noise help?
  • Need to figure out staffing if in-library service is expected

Possible other functions

• equipment availability (either as an integrated kiosk function or perhaps highlighted in Primo ('loanable equipment' button that brings up an equipment search set)
• Loanable equipment page (could substitute rotating slide collection like the safety and @ your library series)
• Librarything (for browseability and tag search improvements)

Would like to explore circulation desk options for mapping functionality and replacement of the dual monitor station

Need to verify Ethernet availability in elevator area

We seem to have a lot of positive experience/nostalgia for the Radiant Systems CSS kiosks they have in Sheetz restaurants (they also make a wayfinding kiosk)
