Go over proposed wording for temporary signage

Dan Moret and his graphic design interns have been helping me work on our graphic design standards for our temporary signage best practices document. We'll review some ideas for wording before they get to putting together full prototypes.

Solicit ideas for floor color coding

Think about the kinds of colors we should be using to code the floors for ease of navigation and what floors should be what colors, then we'll talk about it! Eventually we'd like to paint the insides of the stairwells and elevator vestibules by floor color and get matching furniture and possibly signage.

We want to start getting some ideas to help us answer these questions:

  • Which general colors we want (ROYGBV or other)
  • Specifics about the colors for the physical building features (OSU colors, plain/bright, muted, etc.)
  • What colors for what floors?
  • How do we make sure the colors are as accessible to visually impaired people as possible?
  • Do we need/want the print materials like fliers to match the building feature colors exactly?
