How to add an Alert message on the website

This can only be done by Website Editors and Administrators

The alert is a simple block named "Warning Message". You can get to the block through the Blocks menu or from the link below.

  1. Log in directly to the Alert page

  2. Scroll down to the "Block body" editor and add your message. The message can display links, if needed.



  3. Scroll down to "Region Settings" then click on "Doug Fir -Library (default theme)". S
  4. elect ''Pre-Content"


  5. By default, the "Visibility settings" of the message is set to display only on the home page. (below)


    If you want to display the message on every page, set the "Visibility settings" to 'All pages except those listed' and delete <front> (below)
  6. CLICK SAVE (smile)
  7. Clear cache (hover over the homeĀ  icon at the top)


    DONE! (yay!)

To remove alert

  1. Hover over the Gear iconĀ  on the far right of the warning block. Click on 'Configure block'. (below)

    If you do not see the gear icon, you may need to log in first.

  2. Set the "Doug Fir -Library (Region Settings)" back to 'none' (below)


  3. Click "Save block" (Green button at the bottom)
  4. Clear cache. (hover over the homeĀ  icon at the top)



    DONE!
