  • Last year we closed because of particulates in the air and impact on air quality as well as HVAC.

    • Sagan asked if we would discuss it during meeting or should we review it ahead of time.
    • Rachel requested we at least skim it.
    • Will take it piece by piece each meeting.
  • Floor Monitors. Currently Sagan, Lucinda, Rachel and Teresa have been trained.
    • Rachel will reach out about getting our vests.
  • Department Alert List has been updated by Rachel every 6 months.
    • We also have a Library-specific OSU alerts as well.

  • Do we need to make an adjustment to the date?
  • Ecampus and Java II both requested we adjusted to ensure we have new staff challenged but not frustrated.
  • There are some restrictions regarding which day we can do.
  • Discussed the balance of the need for the drill with stress due to coming back after 18 months of closure.
  • Encourage departments to review evacuation procedures found on the wiki.

  • Erin asked if new employees are required to complete the bridge trainings to come on site.
    • Rachel said she didn't believe so. Has requested some of those trainings be updated.
    • Rachel mentioned the flu training is also quite good and worth it, especially for those interacting with the public.
  • Sagan mentioned that Guin gets notified of Incident Reports but doesn't have a rep on Safety Council.
    • Safety Council should probably be Valley specific
    • Mary is on the Safety and Health Committee for the Guin campus which is probably more relevant for her.
    • Mary was invited but declined.
    • Could send her a mini package of materials we develop for Safety Week.
