Schlage Express Software
If you need to reinstall the Schlage Express software, call Allegion. They no longer install the software from a disc but from a download instead. They also need to install a patch for Windows Mobile Device since that application is no longer included in Windows. The should walk you through the entire process.
Preparing to install new software
If you end up purchasing new or replacement locks, peripherals or software, there are several things to be aware of if you want to safe your data and have the installation go smoothly.
- Collect the audit data from all the doors one last time. Download the data and back-up your facility files.
- Make note of the current file path configurations for:
- Backing up the facility files
- Downloading data from the HHD
- Plan to spend time on the phone with Allegion. You will need help with:
- Download Windows Mobile Device Center and a patch that will allow it to work on Windows 10.
- Downloading any necessary firmware updates for new or existing locks.
- Downloading the Schlage Utility Software for the HHD.
- Downloading any necessary firmware updates for the HHD.
