Offsite

  • Rachel has been doing ongoing planning with Spacesaver about shelving set-up and Amy Keene from Campus Planning.
  • She also continues weekly meetings with various library staff involved in this project.

Roof

  • Current timeline is this summer for the cell towers, next summer for the roof and fall for the solar panels
  • The plan is for a roof patch and study this fall/winter.

Smaller Projects

Electronic Locks

  • Lucinda continues to work with multiple groups on campus to find a solution for our failing study room electronic locks. This includes Office of Information Security, Key & Lock Shop, Allegion, and our local lock distributor.
  • Dave Manela has been providing support.
  • The issue is finding locks that are both approved by campus while limiting damage to our doors that comes with installing different locks.
  • Trivia: These will be the 3rd round of electronic locks installed on these doors.

Art Rail

  • Art rail has been hung in the 2nd floor reading room to support Robin Weis' project.

Ongoing Building Operations

  • The HVAC is finally fully operational after leaving the building being warm and humid
  • Safety Council met on May 3. Rachel is also part of the University Health and Safety Committee which met April 28.

Planning

  • Rachel met with Carlea White Met with Lisa Templeton about the Ecampus staff eventually returning to onsite work.
  • She also met with Carlea White to discuss 4th floor spaces and the reception desk.
  • Rachel is working with Robin Weis to plan art displays for the fall.
  • Rachel and Anne-Marie met with OSU Public Safety Chief Shannon Anderson.
