Recycling Updates

Routes

I walked the routes with John Deuel this morning to make sure the route was clear for the students since this is such a big building. Recycling has been working hard to hire and train students, so they can get back to a full service schedule. The Valley Library has two scheduled service routs each week. Beginning next term they will be as follows:

• Mondays: Public spaces only. Primarily All-in-the-Hall bins and bottle bins
• Thursday afternoon: The entire building including staff spaces. If the crew cannot access an area, they will not service it. Because we have service desks which open later in the day on Thursday, the decision was made to schedule the route later in the day.

Compost

Last term we pulled the compost bins from the public floors because Recycling didn't have the capacity to empty the bins. John anticipates compost recycling will resume sometime next month. I will keep you posted.
