Offsite Storage

  • Rachel continues to attend weekly planning and construction meetings for this project.
  • Rachel submitted a request to Surplus to move the cantilevered shelving from The Valley Library to Offsite storage. Rates and timeline are still being negotiated.
  • Rachel is planning with Spacesavers the timeline for the cantilevered shelving set up.
  • Bertsch dates for moving materials have been locked.
    • First week of June: Hut to Research Way
    • Week of July 12th: Valley Library to Research Way
  • Rachel is currently inquiring about renting additional carts from Bertsch.

Roof

  • Rachel is still attending weekly planning meetings.
  • There was a discussion of solar structures built into roof construction.

Smaller Projects

Furniture Reupholstery

  • Fabric has been chosen for the dinette chair reupholstery.
  • 60 chairs were picked up by MacDonald.
  • Chairs are expected back in the building in May

Fall Reset

  • Fall reset work is ongoing–Lucinda continues to oversee moving furniture throughout the building.

Other Items

  • Security Camera has been installed in Lobby at Orange Rewards/Vending Machine area.
  • Facilities has a potential fix for broken electrical boxes in several library tables.
