- Called Fire department who tested the air and it was fine
- Evacuation after natural gas report
- Things went well. Will discuss more later in the meeting
- Complaints from 2 staff members about how a patron was treating them
- Patron appeared to be stalking the staff members
- Patron knew work schedule, where they lived
- Discussed options.
- Staff members currently felt safe and were concerned any direct conversations with patron would escalate the matter.
- Staff do not need to interact with this patron. They can defer to other staff members.
- Staff member were given resources if the situation escalated
- SARC, Public Safety safe escort
- Adjusting schedule if needed
- Leaving the option open for further discussion with the patron in the future
- Student employees do know not to give out staff schedules

- Karl attempted to sign up but hasn’t gotten a confirmation email.

| - Fire Marshall put in work order to get brush cleared and it’s finally been done
- Concern about using the East exit which dropped people directly to where the gas was
- Mention in the PA announcement where people should evacuate to direct away from that side of the building.
- Sagan didn’t have that information at the time of making the announcement. Was no way to really redirect folks after the PA announcement was made
- Suggest adding caution tape to bags to block off pathways to plaza
- Turn on walking talkies before leaving the building to verify they are working.
- Robot was in the plaza after evacuation and a student walked into the plaza to get their food. Should we just move it? Yes.
- Ecampus was able to evacuate without issue.
- Karl had a question about the timeline for construction on the east side of the building. Rachel doesn’t have one.

- Karl is distributing the last of the prizes. We were given 9 play lists.
- The emails were a team effort.
- Pulled from former safety emails for reference
- Tried to limit the number of links, keep the information direct and simple
- Start planning this year for next year such as
- Stockpile safety posters attached to the monthly preparedness updates
- Appeal of safety week is likely prizes
- Probably want some content to be library-specific
- Scavenger hunt next year? Anagrams? Coloring contest? (Color me safe!)
- Start planning in the summer for Safety week.
- Should get first aid training scheduled next time.

- Make comments. No need to edit information at this time.
- Will need to take to LAMP for approval, end of January, early February.
- May want to schedule a work session for doing this.
- Disaster recovery plan will be next.
- Will take more time and input, with folks from multiple departments. Likely a subcommittee. Not necessarily the charge of this group entirely.

5 min. | Other Matters Arising | All | - 3 OSU students jumped a trans woman at 7-11 on Monroe and severely injured her.
- Not being talked about much
- Sagan directed a couple students who asked about it to talk to AMD and Alex Gittelman.
- The Council is wondering what or if we can do anything
- Agreed we need to get more information about what/if is currently being done. The concern is to make sure all of our students feel safe here.
- What organizations can we reach out to? How do we provide support to our students?
