Agenda:
- Admin Briefing Presentation
- Elizabeth, Ed and Philip will do the safety presention for the Library Admin Briefing Aug. 11
- The presentation will inlcude a safety game with prizes and will cover a general thank you, safety week information and general safety info
- Safety Week Sept. 12-16
- First Aid/CPR Training
- will occur Sept 13 (first aid) and 14 (CPR/AED) from 1-5 pm in Willamette West.
- Bryan will send out a general announcement on Monday
- Evacuation Drill
- A time was chosen for the annual building evacuation drill during the week of Sept. 26-30.
- The exact day and time will be unannounced but Don will notify LAMP of when it will occur.
- Bryan will contact Alarms (Facilities) and Jim Patton
- Bryan will update the evacuation assembly area map.
- First Aid/CPR Training
- Anti-theft Posters and Bookmarks
- Zac introduced the new anti-theft posters. The plan is to display them at various times during the year so patrons are less likely to ignore.
- Bryan will check on the bookmarks order (same design). Plan is to use them to set on belongings that have been left unattended.
- OSU Disaster Exercise Response
- Victoria shared that to participate in the OSU campus disaster excercise on Oct. 30 as a controller/evaluator requires Incident Command Training (Don and Bryan have had this). But you can still volunteer to be a disaster victim if interested.
- Victoria shared the email with more info.
- Campus Safety Walk
- Zac is currenlty representing the library on the University Health and Safety Committee.
- HIs first task is to conduct the annual campus safety walk where members volunteer to walk an area of campus and note any safety hazards for Facilities
- Zac will invite all Valley safety members to join him sometime next week. The committee has done this several times in the past.
- Zac will also arrange to check lighting in the area when dark.
- Disaster Recovery Plan Update
- members are working on completing the updated and revised library Disaster Recovery Plan
- more work needs to be done tying the plan to campus, local and state plans. Bryan will follow up with Mike Bamberger.
- Don is helping with the finance section of the plan.
